I don’t know guys. I think I have to give it up to Pixar for fake hacking their own fake site.

30 Day Pixar ChallengeDay 22 - Favorite ‘Cars’ character

So there are so many characters to pick from! I mean, I love Sally and Luigi and Guido and Mack and Ramone and Flo and don’t even get me started on how there’s the sequel now with new characters to love like Finn and Prince Wheeliam and Francesco and Jeff and Lewis. But after rewatching the first one and then watching the second one, I think I just really have to go with Lightning. I’ve always loved him and counted him up there with Sally, mind you, but I was reminded of just how much. He’s a fantastic character (and being voiced by Owen Wilson doesn’t hurt at all). He starts out so antihero and I just wanna facepalm at times. But through it all he’s still fun to watch and I really empathize with him, root for him and want him to change. I think a part of the reason why I love Sally so much (okay besides it being Bonnie Hunt and her just being a super awesome character) is because she is the one -besides Mater who does it unknowingly- who is trying to bring Lightning back down to earth. She’s not trying to change his personality, so much as she is trying to change the method he takes to get to wherever it is he’s going. Which reminds me of another thing I like about Lightning that someone else pointed out…he does change in the end, but he never loses his identity. And you see that presented in the sequel too. He changes so that he’s not just some egotistic character that only cares about himself. I guess you could say he matures. Yet, he’s still young, loves life and is confident (he is an athlete after all who has to believe in himself and his ability). The fact that he still isn’t perfect, like we see in the sequel, is what makes him awesome. He’s a character that still has room to grow believably just like any normal person. Oh and it just hit me that I’ve always been obsessed with red cars, so yeah, maybe that also has something to do with why he’s my favorite lol.
